CHROME EXTENSION · LOCAL-ONLY · ZERO ACCOUNTS

Hold your
own keys.
Forever.

Stop digging through Notion, Slack DMs, and screenshot folders. API Ring is the local Chrome vault for every API key you'll ever own. Anthropic, OpenAI, OpenRouter, Chutes, NVIDIA, Ollama — drop them in, pin the ones you use, copy them in two clicks.

Unlimited keys. 100% Free. No accounts. No servers. No subscription.

Local only No telemetry Lifetime updates
API Ring is the easy on-ramp: a Chrome Store utility that gives people immediate custody of their keys, then connects naturally into the Vessel dashboard when they are ready to turn those keys into lead searches, outreach agents, and their own managed AI instance.

THE THESIS
Not your
keys. Not
your agent.

Every AI app you use is built on an API key. If that key isn't yours, you're a tenant.

The agentic economy runs on one rule — whoever holds the key gets paid. Most people are renting their keys from a SaaS that wraps the same models with a subscription on top. $20/mo here. $30/mo there. Forever.

API Ring is the local vault for the keys that power your stack. No accounts. No servers. No company that can pull your access. Your keys live on your machine and only your machine.

▸ WHY THIS EXISTS

Where your keys
live right now.

01
A Notion doc
Half a dozen old keys, three rotated, two revoked, none labeled. Synced to a service that's been breached twice.
02
Slack DMs to yourself
"To self: don't lose this." You will lose it. It's also indexed by Slack search forever.
03
A SaaS account
Renting access to a key on someone else's account. The day they pivot, your stack dies.
100% LOCAL

Your keys never
leave your machine.

API Ring stores everything in Chrome's local extension storage. No servers. No sync. No telemetry. No account to create, no email to verify, no password that some startup will eventually leak in a breach.

  • Zero network calls for storage, retrieval, or copy
  • Encrypted at rest using your browser's native storage
  • No analytics — the extension has no telemetry library
  • Works offline — it never needed the internet anyway

BULK EXPORT

Ten keys to .env
in one click.

spinning up a Railway service? Cloning a repo? Onboarding a new dev? Stop opening five tabs to copy-paste keys one at a time. API Ring exports your selected keys as .env, JSON, or shell exports — pick the format, hit copy, paste into your editor.

  • .env format — drop straight into Railway, Vercel, Fly
  • JSON format — for config files and provisioning scripts
  • Shell exports — for terminal sessions and CI
  • Selective export — pick which keys go, which stay

▸ COMMON QUESTIONS

Things people ask.

Where exactly are my keys stored?
In Chrome's chrome.storage.local on your machine. The extension makes zero network calls for storage or retrieval — you can verify this in DevTools. Uninstall the extension and your keys go with it.
Is it really unlimited?
Yes. We don't believe in artificial limits on the keys you own. A vault that holds your keys hostage is the exact opposite of the point. Unlimited keys. No recurring billing. Ever.
Why is it free?
Because we want to create Sovereign Operators. API Ring is the easy on-ramp. Once you have your keys organized, you'll be ready for the more advanced tools in the Vessel Stack. We grow when you grow.
What if you go out of business?
Your license is HMAC-signed and validates locally after first activation. If our servers go down forever, your unlimited mode keeps working. Your keys are in your browser, not ours. There's nothing for us to take from you.
I lost my license key. Can I get it back?
Yes. Hit the resend link with the email you bought it under, and we'll re-send it. Licenses are tied to the email on the Stripe receipt.
Does it work on Brave, Edge, Arc, etc.?
Yes — anywhere Chrome extensions run. Brave, Edge, Arc, Vivaldi, Opera — all supported. Same install, same vault.
▸ FINAL VERDICT

Stop renting
your stack.

The agentic economy runs on API keys. You either hold yours, or someone else does. Unlimited keys. 100% Free. Install in 30 seconds.

▸ INSTALLATION

How to install locally.

01. DOWNLOAD

Open the extension folder on your computer to install in Chrome (Developer Mode).

OPEN EXTENSION FOLDER
02. LOAD IN CHROME
1. Open Chrome and go to chrome://extensions
2. Enable Developer Mode (top right toggle)
3. Click Load unpacked and select the extracted folder.
Why this way? Because the Chrome Web Store is a landlord. Local-first means you own the source. No store can "de-list" your tools when they're on your drive.
